Description
“Family Tree – Builds a bridge over the generation gap”
Be the first to create a complete family tree or score the most points to win the game.
Family members (cards) are distributed to the players, and they take turns placing them onto their family tree, beginning with grandmother and grandfather working their way through 3 generations.
The cards come in 4 different colors:
Blue
Green
Orange
Purple
..and 6 different card types:
Grand Mother (4)
Grand Father (4)
Mother (8)
Father (8)
Boy (12)
Girl (12)
(for a total of 48 cards)
The remaining cards are places into a deck, and the top card is turned over and placed next to the deck (forms a discard pile).
On a players turn, he/she will draw a card from either the deck, or the top card from discard.
From the hand, the player can them, if possible, place a card into his/her family tree on the board, beginning with the grand parents first. Grand father and grand mother can be of the same color, or of two different colors. In the next generation, at least one mother or father must be of the same color as one of the grand parents.
Players keep drawing cards and adding them to their family tree, until one players has created a complete family tree, or if no cards are left to be placed onto family trees, then the player with the most points wins the game (grand parents 15, parents 10, children 5 points).
